Maria qualified as a dentist in 2002. She then continued her postgraduate studies for another 2 years resulting in an MSc in Oral Biology.

After 3 years of full time orthodontic training Maria obtained the Membership in Orthodontics qualification from the Royal College of Surgeons and she now works as a Specialist Orthodontist. She is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
