This means shorter treatment times, more comfort, less risk of damage to the roots of the teeth during treatment and less emphasis on extraction based treatments. Less visible braces are available rather than metal ‘train-tracks’. These ceramic braces are useful for older adolescents or adults. Completely invisible lingual braces are also option. Now the appearance of the brace is no longer a reason to prevent any necessary treatment.
